MENDOZA BASEBALL ACADEMY CORE VALUES:
Extreme Ownership - To blame someone else is to admit you are powerless. We go above and beyond, taking full responsibility for our actions and outcomes. If someone else falls short, it’s on us to rely on them without ensuring the task was done right. Complaining and excuses are unacceptable. In the words of Jocko Willink, “Leaders must own everything in their world. There is no one else to blame.”
Efficient Process - We prioritize streamlined and effective workflows to maximize productivity and minimize wasted effort. By embracing innovation and refining our methods, we ensure our academy operates at peak efficiency, delivering top-tier results.
Simplification and Systemization - We focus on identifying the root cause of challenges and develop streamlined systems to address them permanently. While it’s tempting to add complexity in the pursuit of progress, we prioritize simplicity and efficiency, believing that less can lead to more impactful results. In the words of Bruce Lee, “It’s not the daily increase but the daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.”
Radical Transparency - Transparency is the foundation of trust, and trust is the cornerstone of strong teams and successful companies. By openly sharing our strengths and flaws, we foster deeper connections and build a stronger, more resilient organization. Remember, as Brene Brown said, “Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind.” Being transparent, even when it’s uncomfortable, ultimately leads to greater trust and success.
Community First - Players come to us with their vulnerability of wanting to learn and play in college. It is our responsibility to teach them with trusted and valuable information to help guide them in a direction of growth.
